Spring Jewels

22 Mar, 2018

Tuesday 20 March – the first day of spring, and we’re more than ready for it. After the ‘Beast from the East’, Storm Emma and snow well into March, it’s finally time to Instagram bluebells, blossom and forget-me-nots to your heart’s content. We’re already working on our window display for Chelsea in Bloom in May, following our bright red and fuchsia giraffe creation for ‘Floral Safari’ last year.

Florals for spring? Ground-breaking they’re not, but we adore the riot of colour showcased this season by vibrant flowers and lush spring greenery. Take a leaf out of Mother Nature’s book and embrace colour, whether you’re choosing jewellery for work, a wedding or a weekend away – a touch of colour can brighten any outfit and lift one’s mood, and Kiki creates her designs accordingly.

Forget Me Not, inspired by the little blue wildflower, is perfect for those who love elegant, modest gold jewellery while the Aurora collection’s more geometric floral diamond design is as striking as it is sophisticated.

Tap into the continuing jewellery trend for mismatching earrings (as seen on Emma Watson and Saoirse Ronan) by pairing up different coloured stones or detach a drop from just one earring. Green is as popular as ever this season, so peridot and green amethyst are the ideal gemstones for giving your jewellery box an envy-inducing refresh.

If you love the new beginnings that come with spring, and baby animals tug at your heartstrings, Kiki’s Memories bracelets – slender gold chains set with delicate diamond outlines of animals – include bumblebees, bunnies and ducks.

Adding a splash of colour to every outfit, the strap of the limited edition Kiki watch comes in bright pink, red and orange (as well as black and brown).

For the animal-loving shirt-wearers among you, wear your heart on your sleeve this spring – sport a pair of charming cufflinks in the form of hedgehogs, hares or ducks. Plan ahead too; Father’s Day is 17 June and cufflinks make the perfect present.
